“Me­dia re­ports sug­gest that more than 90 per­cent of Gur­d­waras in Jammu and Kash­mir will fol­low the 5 Jan­u­ary date and the Nanakshahi cal­en­dar. 11 Sikh or­gan­i­sa­tions and Gur­d­waras have de­cided to pub­lish the Mool Nanakshahi cal­en­dar so that there is no con­fu­sion re­gard­ing Gur­purab and Sikh fes­ti­val dates.”
